Students, ages 14-16, will explore marine ecosystems with a focus on how marine animals are affected by human impacts like pollution and habitat destruction. Using interdisciplinary approaches from science, technology, and art, they will design ceramic-based artificial reef structures to enhance marine habitats. The culmination will be the creation of a large fish tank at school to test the ceramic reefs in real-time with marine life, supplemented by collaboration with a local aquarium for expert insights and potential long-term implementation.
